Work Authorization
Appalachian Iron Field Service, LLC is a mobile repair company whose purpose is to provide services for breakdowns over the road, Fleet preventative maintenance services, and heavy equipment repair. Our primary goal is to get your equipment running and back in safe operational order in a timely manner. We will diagnose the vehicle/equipment and put forth our best effort to find a solution that suits the customer and the situation in compliance with regulatory standards. Parts required to make the repair will be subject to additional mileage charges for pickup at the rate additional to the original quote. Parts provided by the customer are acceptable, but carry no guarantee of serviceability and proper fitment.
Disclaimer
Appalachian Iron Field Service, LLC will put forth our best effort, but not every vehicle can be reasonably repaired on the roadside. We reserve the right to recommend wrecker services when our diagnosis proves a repair cannot be reasonably made on the road. Under no circumstances will Appalachian Iron Field Service, LLC be held liable for damage that occurred to the vehicle/equipment prior to our provided service. There will also be no guarantee that the vehicle/equipment will be repaired upon dispatch. Despite our best efforts, there are sometimes circumstances beyond our control that could prevent a successful return to service on the road side. We will use our best judgement to provide excellent service to our customers in all circumstances.
Deposits & Past-due Accounts
For service calls dispatched between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, Appalachian Iron Field Service, LLC reserves the right to collect a $350 deposit prior to dispatch. The deposit will be applied to the invoice and is non-refundable once a technician is dispatched.
Payment is due upon completion of services unless written approval has been made by Appalachian Iron Field Service, LLC. Balances not paid within thirty (30) days will be subject to a late fee of five percent (5%) of the total outstanding balance. This fee will compound monthly thereafter until paid in full.
Non-payment may constitute theft of services under applicable law.
Service Rates
Normal business hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The hourly rate for calls dispatched after normal business hours is higher than the normal business hours rate.
There will be a 2-hour minimum fee for each call-out.
There will be a mileage fee associated with travel costs to and from the place of repair.
Each call is subject to administrative fees and credit card processing fees (if credit card is used for payment).
Maintenance contracts for fleet services carry a reduced rate dependent on volume and scope of work.
Company Ackowledgment
The company or representative authorizes Appalachian Iron Field Service, LLC upon agreed quote, to perform diagnostics and/or repair to the vehicle/equipment. The company or representative agrees that Appalachian Iron Field Service, LLC will not be held liable for loss or damage done to the vehicle/equipment including fire, theft, or anything outside the scope of work authorized. The company or representative agrees that Appalachian Iron Field Service, LLC shall not be held liable for any delays due to the unavailability of parts required to make the repair. If the company or representative halts the diagnostic or repair of the vehicle/equipment for any reason, the company is liable to pay for services and parts up to that point (including return trip home). If invoice payment is returned or credit card payment is back-charged, a reasonable attempt to collect will be made up to and including legal action.
